I spoke too soon on my recent post about the Oregon harvest. In the Willamette valley, I think there is still some watching and waiting going on. How do I know? My neighbor has some vines planted and still hasn't harvested, so I am taking his cue. We also had a gorgeous day - 72 degrees - so maybe people are hoping for similar weather and to extend the season. I need to a) talk to my neighbor and b)get photos of the vines and the grapes before he harvests. Every day I drive by his house expecting the grapes to be gone, but they are still there. Part of the intrigue is that I don't know his plans for the grapes! Let's hope for a fabulous end to a really crazy summer season!
