Old World in the New

Hi!

There are hundreds of wine blogs on the internet. I am not aiming to be another one. I am not throwing my hat in the ring to compete or even educate others. I am stepping into the mix to educate myself.

I love tourism and wine and have a long and sordid history with both. I can’t escape the pull – nor will I try- so I am going to embrace it. This avenue will help me document my wining, dining and travel, so I can remember fully what I’ve done, where I’ve been and who I’ve met.

In addition to good wine and fine food, I love vintage clothing, so this blog might reflect a bit of that passion too (as well as Russia, salmon conservation and Russian salmon conservation!).

It is fitting that my motto is “looking for the old world in the new.”
